Fine time for my furnace to stop working! It is 17 degrees out here and the furnace (2 years new) has stopped working. Thank goodness we have space heaters!

17 degrees? I can't even remember the last time I was in that temperature.

You probably never see twice that temperature! By the way, I managed to fix the furnace. One of the air-operated valves got stuck. I removed it and took it in the house where I cleaned it and unstuck it. Now all is right with the world.

Nice, glad there are still "user serviceable parts" left in the world. I can always drive to a cold spot if I have the inclination, it just hasn't hit me in a while. Now that I think about it, I drove through snow last January to shoot that ghost town. Remember the infrared shots?

Glad to hear it was a simple fix, Basil. We're currently saving up to replace our furnace -- it's 25 years old at least and starting to show some signs that it is on the way out.

Oh, and it was -14*f yesterday morning.

9 degrees here yesterday morning in Eastern Oklahoma. Zoomed up to 22 by noon. Were supposed to have weather like this for the next two weeks. 6 inches of snow on the ground, which isn't going away for a while with the temps so low. I agree, no time for a furnace to go on the blink! PJ

wouldn't it be better to save money. Certainly Mickey has been trying to save JP for some time now with only moderate success.
