My turn to share. Here is my better half sitting in my car. One more door, the center console with new radio, and then the " hood " to go.
And then /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/driving.gif !

Marvelous job Ed. Don’t forget to upload that photo to the gallery. Hey, how come she didn’t take a picture of YOU in the driver’s seat, not that I’m complaining mind you.

The original owner purchased the car while on temp assignment in the UK. He drove it around in the UK before his assignment ended. The car was shipped via air back to
the US when his temp assignment ended. It came on the car when my dad bought it in 1970.

She's a beauty. How long has the restoration taken you?
How extensive was it? Yup she's a real head turner. Niiiiice.

Cool, you have good taste in both cars and women. Only problem is she's sitting on your side.

Ed,
Looks great, I'm moving on it again this weekend, actually tackleing that window issue this weekend. Question, did you use the Moss carpet kit? If so, how have you resolved the unbound edge of the floor mats against the trans. tunnel? Mine looks like crap unless I tuck it under the trans. tunnel. Could you send me a pic of yours, simply let me know the right way of finishing this?

Thanks,
David T

I did not buy the carpets. My dad did. I think he may have picked them up on a business trip to the UK in the 70s when he also bought the wire wheels. They were never installed into the car until recently. I don't know who made them. The wife and camera are out of town this weekend.

Hi Ed,
A very beautiful car. Just like I would expect from you! Nice color too. You appear to have a real long time attachment to this car. Glad to see that it is going well.
Best to you,
Dave

Thanks for all the complements. I have been working on it since Feb 05. The car itself has been taken apart since 1979. My dad rebuilt the motor, transmission, OD, all of the shocks, suspension, and brakes a long time ago. Then it collected dust for 18 years, I helped him strip the shroud in the 90s, he painted the shroud in 2000. Another 5 years and he decided that he was never going to finish it and asked me if I wanted it. As you all know, this is something you cannot pass up, no mater how much time, money, and trouble it will be.
