Hypothetically speaking...

Would square body car with a fiberglass Bugeye bonnet and behind weigh significantly less than the stock configuration? If so, would anyone have an idea how much less such a configuration would weigh?

I'm not sure on a square Sprite, but I know I saved a bunch of weight on the Bugeye switching to a 'glas nose!!! I would think you would realize a pretty good weight loss!

Do you REALLY want to lose more weight? If a truck passes you, you'll blow off the road from the turbulance!

would laying off the Mcdonalds possibly cause the same weight reduction at a more econmical rate? ....zimmmy

Bearing in mind that this is VERY hypothetically speaking, the reduced weight would be more than made up for by batteries

I'd sooner drink motor oil than eat at that dump...

Stock or lightened that passing truck is going to buffet you pretty well anyway, so as long as you are prepared for the necessary maneuver it's all the same and the lighter car is going to perform just that bit better and go just that extra bit further on a gallon of gas!!!

You will loose alot of weight, but you will also add a little bit more drag with a BE bonnent.
