Hydrophobic metal

Pretty cool. I wouldn't expect though that this surface would have any type of applied coating like paint since it seems to me that would defeat the purpose. But just imagine how you could "mess" with a painter or body guy if a replacement panel was patterned with the laser and filler, primer, etc would slide right off. Great candid camera type stunt...

I wonder if the metal will react with water vapor. Liquid water has a surface tension which may be different.
 
Sanitation? How you supposed to clean something that doesn't like water. :jester:
