TR2/3/3A Hydraulic Brake Line Clips Installation

I am installing the clips to attach the hydraulic brake line to the real axle/differential and stopped because I'm thinking there is a "proper" way this should be done. Any factory installation procedures I should follow? I think I have the locations correct, I'm perplexed on how to use the clip correctly. Here are pictures of how I am starting the installation. Seems like I need to back off a bit before I start winding on the "twisting thing" but how far and what is done with the extra length? Thank you!

Here are a couple pics. I cannot vouch for the originality, but it is how they came off when I bought the car. Cut all but about and inch of the extra off. Then the end will twist into the key and not show.

Thanks John! I will start by "snugging" the clip tight to the differential and then start twisting until it's tight or the maximum amount, back it off and cut the "extra" then twist until the end is as you advised to not show. I'm not sure anyone will ever see it!:encouragement: I'll know it was done right though! Great Pictures by the way!
