Great photos!
That AC Ace is now at the top of my Christmas wish list. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

Isn't that an AC Aceca, rather than an Ace? I was under the assumption that all coupes were Acecas.

You could be right, still want it though!

I'm one of those guys who would actually rather own an AC Ace/ AC Bristol than a Cobra, just so I could have the purer handling car, and then have people come up and say "is it a real Cobra" and I could say "no" and laugh inside!

Sam I agree, I too would rather have an AC Ace than a Cobra.
The picture is of AC Acera, more than likely has a Bristol 6 cyl racing engine in it. I also love the look of the Swallow Doretta, of course based on a TR3.

Nice pix, Webb.

We had an AC Aceca at the Hershey Hillclimb.

It was a '58 (with a nice-sounding Bristol six that is related to the pre-WW II BMW engines). The guy drove the car up from DC with sticky race tires stashed in the trunk and interior, put them on and raced the car....definitely not a "trailer queen".

Question for the experts....what is the difference between an Aceca and an AC Greyhound, which is also a coupe?
I suppose I could look it up but am sure one of you already knows!
Thanks, Simon.

Greyhound was a four seater version of the Aceca with more weight and longer wheelbase. Didn't do particularly well sales-wise...I believe only about 80 made.
