This new article includes almost 50 close-up photos of Huffaker MGB design and construction details, so I'm hopeful that when you guys read it you'll see and point out some clever speed tricks I missed: Eddie Beal's Number-9 Huffaker MGB Race Car

(British Leyland sponsored the Huffaker team. Their MGB race cars won the SCCA E-Production championship three years in a row, from 1975 through 1977.)

Curtis, I enjoyed our talk as well, what you are doing documenting these cars on your web site is a great thing, add to that you are great photogopher, your pictures are stunning, I just love your engine bay shots. Great work Curtis!

Really nice photos and documentation, Curtis!

What's with the tape on the carb float bowls? Looks like duct tape, what's the purpose?

Just heat insulation cloth, to keep the heat from the headers away from it. Originally the car had dual HS8s on it, here's a photo when we first finished the car with Mike Barrett HS8s on it, and few other photos of the car during and right after the restoration.
