hub replacement

Hello,

so one of my front hubs splines are looking worn. Im going to replace thme and im debating doing a whole hub, brake, kingpin rebuild or just swaping out my hubs. how involved is a kingpin replacement? Im replacing the brakes either way. i have never done kingpins and worried about getting over my head

Thanks

Ray

Once you're into the kingpins, you may find you need the bushings replaced. That's a press/reaming job. It may be best to get the kingpin "kits" and take the pieces to a trusted machine shop. The reaming work will need to be aligned and without the "special tool" purpose-made for it, keeping centerline can be a challenge.

Thanks for the Info. i think im going to have my mechanic handle the rebuild.

Thanks again Ray
