HS8 on a 1275?

I currently am running an HIF 44 on a titan manifold, with which I'm very happy. However, I have the opportunity to acquire an HS8 2" carb at reasonable price, and am comfortable in fabricating an adapter to fit this to the Titan. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? I wonder if an old HS8 flows more/better than the newer HIF 44...

I'd pass, two of them were roughly too much for a full out Huffaker MGB race car. Add to that you hardly have no needle choices.

But I'd only be running one - and needles can be made up. AT any rate, it looks moot, the seller has mysteriously delisted them from ebay. I should just stay with the HIF, I guess. BTW Hap, have you had the chance to do any Eaton supercharger installations on A-series yet?
