My new jet needles from Moss are stamped TW which I believe is the standard needle, and has a small indented ring or step right below the main structure of the shank, which is fixed tight with the set screw.
What is the purpose of this step right below the shank? Is the bottom of the shank and the upper part of that indented step supposed to be flush with the bottom of the piston, or is the lower part of the indented step supposed to be flush with the bottom of the piston? See pic.
