How to tighten doors and keep idiots from slamming

The doors on my 6 are a bit rattly. My Midget is pretty tight, but they will rattle over big bumps. What I did was take a piece of 3/8" fuel line about 7/16" or so long and slide it down the tapered pin on the door striker to act as a cushion. The lenth you need may vary. You want a piece thats long enough that it has to be compressed somewhat when the door is shut, but not too long where the door has to be slammed to close. If placed agaist the new cushion, you should need to push the door another 1/16" or so to get it to latch. It will still close with regular force. This trick should work on all door latches w/ the tapered guide pin.

It really takes the rattles out and help when your idiot friend slam your doors shut. :madder:

Coast Guard approved fuel line would be even better due to wall thickness.
