How to flip a car over.

Chance happening. You would probably never be able to replicate that one.

It is a Skoda. It is a woman. It is YOUTUBE. Don't go on youtube and search for "bad drivers" (no, I won't say WOMAN DRIVERS, I wouldn't do that) - you'll be stuck in front of the 'puter for hours watching and shaking your head. Really you will!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm these references.......to whom????As what????????

The guy was a gentleman, he even closed the door after helping her out.

He didn't seem too surprised by the whole thing either. Very, very calm. I wonder...maybe this is happens on a regular basis? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

And if Janel sees this---- you can guess what will happen!!

I would never include either of you in this category Randi.
Too much of a coward.(or gentleman if you like) /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Someone sent me that a while ago...

As for the gender of the pilot: "Discretion is the Better Part of Valor."

I'd be more inclined to say it was an "inexperienced" driver. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

I'd say "inexperienced" is correct. I noticed the car lurch during the turn in, and thought "oh, it's a manual transmission with a neophyte driver... this'll be fun!"

Hmmm....all your posturing about what great drivers you men are yet.....
Men are more than twice as likely to die in a car crash than women, consider the yearly statistics shown below. In fact, studies have shoiwn as many as 73 percent of all people killed in car accidents are male. Since record keeping began: male fatalities significantly outweigh female fatalities. However men and women do not drive the same number of miles under the same conditions- men do about 60-65% more driving than women. Studies show that woman take shorter trips and female drivers have a greater number of minor crashes than do men. However men are still 70% more likely to be in a serious crash.

Car Crash Stats:
Persons Killed, by Sex: Male, Female in 2006
Male Drivers Killed Female Drivers Killed
29,722 12,747

Total Both Sexes: 42,469
173 Drivers Unknown Sex Not Included

Perhaps men think they are better drivers because so few live through the carnage they create! THere's just a lot more women walking around who have been invovled in "fender benders" (and BTW I have been involved in 2 minor accidents in my life...both times I was run into by a man!)

*shrug* I made no comments on the driver's gender... merely stated that the driver was a neophyte that obviously had issues with driving a manual transmission car... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

You are correct and my mistake, that reply should have been to a previous post, not yours. I saw the lurch on the clutch too in that video and knew it was not going to turn out good. Male or female...its amazing how few people can drive a manual transmission these days. My Dad wouldn't let me learn on anything else (and I'm not really that old)
My son just converted his Supra from automatic to 5spd and his friends don't see why. I figure pretty soon having a manual transmission will be better than an alarm...theives won't steal my car cause they can't drive it!

To add to it, even FEWER people know how to work a manual choke these days /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif Adds to that 'theft' safety a little... then again, that's assuming they're gonna try to drive the car away...

True, it is a midget after all. They could just pick it up and carry it away..... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

lol

Those figures makes perfect sense. I think male drivers tend to be far more aggressive, driving faster and taking bigger risks, while women tend to be more distracted from the road. Not a sexist thing, just what I observe on the roads here in So Cal.

Oh, please. Tom's the only one that made any comment about gender - and that one was probably in jest. It's just a common thing on YOUTUBE to make the generalized comments about "woman drivers", it makes for a good search parameter.

As for which is better, worse, etc. Makes no difference. I've seen idiots from both sexes that should be ashamed of their vehicular habits but are too stupid to know the difference.
