That's just who I had in mind, actually, after having some questions well-answered by him. Sounds like a reasonable price, too, compared to a new unit.

My experience is that a bad advance module will not only make for a rough idle (vacuum leak) but will reduce throttle reponse and in some cases cause a serious hesitation. Fatigued advance springs can bring the ignition curve in so early that most of the advance is lost beofre idle. Sticky, dirty advance weights and cam assembly can make the curve unpredictible at best. Having a properly curved and functional distributor is a great investment and can make great hp per dollar if a rebuild is needed! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif
