How to find a British car show!

Shirley and I had a great time at the annual British Car Festival at the Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, IL. We left Madison, WI at 5:20am and arrived about 9:45am, after a 198.1 mile drive avoiding the dreaded toll roads, as the show was under way. No problem though because there were many cars still showing up.

It was fun seeing so many British cars of so many makes and models, I am sure there were easily over 200 cars.

We were happy to Meet TR_Jim and RomanH, both members of this forum. Since Shirley and I had a MK1 GT6 it was fun to see Jim's excellent example and remember how it was in those days. Roman's car is a very nice car and I was impressed with the work he did to clean up his paint. It is hard to believe it is not new paint. His dash is also very nice with its beautiful grain and finish.

Thanks for the compliments Tom.
It was a real pleasure meeting you and Shirley. You also have a nice car and should be proud of it and the work you have done to keep her on the road.
After the show I spoke with a couple of the host club members and they said that there were almost 500 cars in attendance.
