My order this exact impact driver arrived today but can't seem to get it to reverse direction to loosen a stuck screw.

Yes, I know it is scary that I'm trying to rebuild my TR6 but I can't figure this out...

Perhaps it's defective ? I've never seen one that worked any other way. I generally use the screw I'm trying to turn, push the handle down hard enough to compress the spring and turn firmly in the direction I want the impact to go.

Of course, about the only time I have to change mine is when it accidentally flips itself while I'm whaling on a tough screw.

Mine has to be pushed down really, really hard and turned in the opposite direction of how it will turn when hit.

I really hate to go over this again but I have one of those Chinese impact drivers and they work much harder than the old, worn out US-made one I had years ago. I also have a difficult time reversing mine but it eventually will...keep at it.

i REALLY THINK THIS STUFF SHOULD CARRY THE WARNING LABEL..
