Is 6'4" pushing it for comfort in a TR4? I can't recall how far the seats go back or if the steering wheel hits the knees too easily.

And, BTW, I'm asking for a friend. I have no illusions about my own stature.

I am 6'5". I did put in a smaller diameter steering wheel, and lowered the foam on the drivers seat a bit. I can drive it with the top up if necessary, although my head rubs the convertible top. I have a long torso. Anyway, it works for me.

6'5" here also with longer legs. I had no issues with headroom, but trick was to slide your right leg under the steering wheel getting in and out.

This was a stock TR4A with original seats and steering wheel.

At 6'3" I made a few modifications. First I use TR6 seats. Then I modified the seat slider to go further back than normal. I use a 14" steering wheel. I have two TR4's and the last modification was to grind off the top corners of the dash support/ radio bracket. This I found dug into my knee. By cutting it back to a smooth inward curve I got clearance for my leg.
I note that I found the dash support on the TR4A a real pain.
