...for a complete non-running TR-6 project car. It's not too rusty and has been sitting inside for decades. I have my eye on one. It seems they are really coming out of the woodwork lately.
Merry Christmas
Thanks
Steve

Can you post some pics? There are so many variables in condition that its hard to hazard a guess as to what its worth. However.... $1500 if complete and not too rusty???

2 weeks ago we purchased a 1 owner 72 TR6...garage kept. Zero rust and only 1 small door ding. Will need to go thru all the running gear...which is our interest. Very nice interior. Car has been a California car its whole life.
We liked the fact that it will take minimal body work...and were looking for a pre-smog car. We think we got a pretty good deal @ $4500...infact owner was offered $1000 more for the car before we could get the trailer there to pick it up!
With the body work being the big expense...that is how I always judge how much to pay for a car.
Good luck! Gil

The car sounds like it could be very interesting. Some questions that could have bearing on the price: Does the engine turn? Is it an overdrive car? Is it surface rust or holes? How is the interior? Why was it parked?
There's a chance the car won't roll because of rusty brakes or flywheel which would make it difficault to determine if the engine turns.
Do you know the year?

I think it is a '72 or'73. I figure I can get it for about 1K. I'm not really looking for another project but they keep finding me. I used to know how to post pictures. I can winch it on the trailer if it's beligerant. I once winched a '65 New Yorker on with all 4 wheels stuck. It took a while.
Thanks for your thoughts
Steve

Steve,

There are directions in the FAQ. If the picture is already on the web, ie Flickr or such, use the add image directions. If it is still on your computer, use the add a file directions.

Be careful of BIG pictures, they might not load or could cause the thread to go into wide mode. Basil wants the size to be no larger then 35K.
