How much to buy an engine block and head?

Group,
A friend has a 73 MGB which is blowing oil past the rings. I was looking to help him fix the car, but it would be easier if I had a block to work on and then put his other bits on for the install. How much should a block, (and perhaps head) run these days. Yes I would need the crank and connecting rods. I expect to buy new pistons and such.

Check with Mike Kimball- he probably has a few leads in your area

I just found an ad on Craigslist. $200 for the block and internals. But the guy does not have a head that is not cracked.
Not bad!
