How many US Elise Waiters out there?

i hope i can get one, just i won't be able to get one untill maybe 2005 (age/income)

Count me in! Just found you guys with Google. I am trying to find other people that are waiting too. I am in Salt Lake City. I'm a Brit and have been closely following the "Elise into the US' information. I'm currently with the Posche Club out here and have a lot of fun racing my '99 Boxster. I wish I could get a look at one of the "track only" Elises that are around, but I don't kow of any out this way. I will be attending a 3day DE event in Las Vegas in May, so hopefully someone may have one down there. Information on the S3 Elsie is still just rumours but the one I like at the moment is that it will come with a 200hp engine. Hmmm I have 200hp now with 2800lbs
dry weight. 1700lbs sounds like a LOT of fun!

Although I prefer the 3100 lb V8 Z06..I certainly look foward to seeing this amazing small sports car hit the american shores..

Upping the horsepower is essential for lotus to succeed here..in a world market so driven by numbers..

I believe the toyota engine in the Lotus chassis is an amazing combination that will drive enthusiasts crazy for the car at 38 grand..

Basic essentials like A/c/powerwindows and locks necessary..but all else can be forgotten..

I can't wait to drool over the new lotus being brought into this country..and of course it will dominate many autox's and tight racetracks for a long time to come..

The smiles of Lotus owners should be among the largest as they go off to enjoy thier new pride and joys..

I hope they don't price the car above 38 grand though..

Thats really a high price for even the best 4 cylinder sports car in the world..
