How many throttle return springs?

On my MkIII 1275 with HS2s I have two throttle return springs. One from each carb throttle shaft bracket. There are no return springs for the choke.

I am looking at the VB and Moss cats to order some stuff and they both state that there is one throttle return spring and the Moss shows a choke return spring.

What is the correct placement of throttle and choke return springs?

3 return springs
one on each carb shaft and one on the center bell crank between the carbs.
Nothing on the choke, it should return via the spring incorporated in it's linkage on the carb body.
