We go to a holodeck to be in a movie instead of a theater to watch? This is a concert in which the performer is a 3D hologram. I'm not enamored with the music, but the technology is fascinating (where have I heard that before?)

By the way I watched a 3D television at Costco today and honestly had to stop watching because there was a scene in which "I" was in a car jumping over sand bumps and hills. My equilibrium went out the window! As the scene had me falling after jumping a dune, my stomach was in my throat! 3D TV is cool but would tale some getting used to to not fall off the couch while watching it! Then there was a soccer game that had me ducking when a ball came flying at me!

amazing - interestingly was watching a 3D TV a month or so ago and gave it up - looked like a moving viewmaster, three "rows" of action.

Wow! that's freaky. Just think, with some work in that setup we could go to a holographic concert by the Beatles, or Buddy Holly, or Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Hehehehe Suddenly all us guys with old points and condenser cars would be raking in the dough as Taxis.
Gotta build me that Faraday cage

The big technological breakthroughs are often devices completely unimagined by the public.

The electric light; the telephone; the automobile, the airplane.

What's next? The sky's the limit. A medical breakthrough? Workable cold fusion??? Probably some hard-working genius like Edison is toiling on it in a dark garage somewhere right now . . . :yesnod:
