TR2/3/3A How important are matching rear shock links?

Today I received my order of two rear shock absorber links from Victoria British. As can be seen in the attached picture they are somewhat different. Is it important to have matching shock links on both sides of the car? I don't want to end up with a handling issue. Thanks!
Here are the differences
1) Bottom ball OD on unpainted is 1.173 inches, and on painted is 1.100 inches
2) Top cylinder length on unpainted is 1.277 inches, and on unpainted is 1.261 inches. On unpainted the rubber is slightly inset whereas on painted the rubber pokes out slightly further than the metal cylinder.
3) Center to center, the mounting bolts on unpainted are 4.458 apart, and on painted the mounting bolts are 4.315 inches apart
4) Both the top and bottom bolts are about 1-1/2 to 2 threads longer on the unpainted link.
5) Just info, the unpainted one has HA33TR stamped on the bar piece, and the painted on has 5413 49 15 stamped on bar piece.

Seems strange that a part I receive from Victoria British would have a Moss p/n label on the bag as well as the VB p/n. The painted on has teh Moss label.

Functionally I don't think there will be a difference. Unless I needed them in a hurry, I'd send them back on principal, though!

Yeah, not sure that it would make a difference when fitted but man, would I be ****** at the guy that assembled that order! No idea why they would send you two obviously different looking parts....

Cheers

That is my opinion as well, maybe ran out of one and had to send two different kinds, more likely two different suppliers, same part number all thrown in the same bin, grabbed and dropped in the shipping box without a second thought.

I received headlight rings from Victoria British and they were not a match pair. One has a rivet on top the other didn't. I also complained and after several weeks of waiting received a refund. Kind of makes you wonder whats going on.

I ordered a fuel line that should have been straight. The one they sent had a 90 degree bend in it. I felt like I was arguing in front of the Supreme Court. Had to go up 2 levels of managers before they would take the return.

I only deal with VB when no one else has the part I need. Last time I bought from them, I had to literally cut and reweld to make it fit. But since no one else had it ...

Probably everyone knows this, but I'll repeat it anyway : Only TRF is owned by a genuine Triumph enthusiast, who owns several of them personally (including a TR3A, a LHD TR5, and most of a TRS), and sells the same parts he uses on his own cars (for the most part).

+1 with Randall. I mainly order through TRF, support and have happily visited MOSS in Goleta, and have only bought from VB once. Read into that what you will...
