Mine was probably a Triumph TR8. Really ugly, but the engine was the V8 that Leyland bought the rights to from the old Buick 283, if I remember correctly. Not a looker, but would just tear down the road. Jim
Too many to choose from, but I think the one that stands out is a 1967 TR4a, black with red leather, solid axle, OD, Firestone Cavalinos if I remember correctly. That car did everything I ever wanted it to do. Faster than it should have been and I still survived it. I bought it in 1968 during my freshman year of college for $100 and a 1963 VW convertible trade and I spent more time on/in the car than school. darn that car was fun...

A tie for me between my original Bugeye that I purchased used in 1965 and my Colorado Orange 1971 BMW 2002 purchased new. Loved driving both. I had purchased a new Fiat 850 Sport new for $1300 while living in Germany. Drove it for 18 months, brought it home and traded it in on the BMW. Got $1600 on the trade in.
This is a tough question because I've always put a lot of thought into the cars I buy. I like 'em all, really.
But, #1 may have been my '69 Triumph GT6, bought it in 1971 just after HS graduation. I did key mods to the engine and suspension, so she would fly. She went everywhere with me including 2 trips down A1A VA to Miami and the Keys, plus I autocrossed and raced her (successfully), too. Great car for a young whippersnapper.
A close second was an '86 BMW 325ES that I bought in '87, the model with the leather Recaro seats and premium stereo. I loved every moment of driving her, a real driver's car. Verrrry smooth, powerful, pretty. A real chick magnet, too.
Then there was the '68 Z-28, and the '70 Mustang, and the Mini Cooper, and . . .
2003 Ford SVT Cobra convertible I purchased new, which I upgraded to the best aftermarket suspension, then added 100 hp with bolt ons. Drove that car 70K miles in two years before I sold. Never a dull moment, always looked forward to another day driveing that car

My brother had a 1962 Oldsmobile F-85 with that engine. Fun car! Not really fast, but a great cruiser.

Tough call, but my first car, a 1969 Chevelle, was probably the most memorable. I had a 1989 Chrysler Conquest putting down about 300hp also, and that was a very fun car.
My first new car, a 1973 Fiat 128. Had it during the gas crisis and used it on weekends to visit my girlfriend in college. Got great gas mileage for that time.
1976 Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser. First fun vehicle I ever owned. Still remember the first drive I took once I took the top and doors off. Wonderful stuff. I'll have another some day.
I loved my 1963 SS Impala convertible. I enjoyed
filling it up with girls each day after junior High School.
I've probably had the most fun off-roading my 1972
FJ40 Land Cruiser. Great fun with friends and their Cruisers.
My current most enjoyable car is the wife's B.
Man, I really enjoy cruising in that thing.
The Bugeye is VERY enjoyable in the right circumstances,
say a curvy mountain road. It sucks in congested traffic.
My old 66 GTO was a blast at the drag strip but was a pain
to use as a daily driver.

Really tough call but if I had to trim it down, would probably be my first car, a fire engine red '46 Chevy convertible. Met SWMBO on a double date in that car. Still have the wife. Wish I had the car back. Second choice, maybe the 190SL or the 124 Spyder or the PV544 or the...
There was the '56 Volvo 544 that was so comfortable and a dream in the snow, or the '69 Datsun 510 wagon that was just a sweet car. But is certainly has to be the Bugeye, hands down.
Has to be a 1968 Mustang fastback. It had a 428CJ engine in it that I built to over 500 horsepower. Great car for a high school kid, right! Sure wish I had it today, that car is probably worth 20 times what I sold it for.
1969 Mercury Marquis Marauder convertible. 429, and all the tires you could find to put on the rear. The doors alone were longer that most of our LBC's.My then girlfriend (now wife) grew up lead footed, and could not seem to leave a standing stop without changing the circumference of those aforementioned rear tires. It held eight of us to do road trips to Old Orchard beach Me.The only drawback to horsing that car, that summer the price of gas shot up from .29 cents to .53 cent per gallon.
