For something totally different...

The University of Calgary has an entrant in the North American Solar Race, and the neat thing... the finish line (July 27th) is right here in Calgary... I plan to be there taking some pictures of something that should be quite interesting.

A couple of years ago, on my way back from a business trip to Huntsville, AL I was driving back on I-40 and passed this somewhere in eastern New Mexico, just across the border from Texas:

As you can see from my cars outside temp indicator, the fellow had plenty of sun that day:
