Houston Gets Earlies Snow on record

Down in the valley, not much snow, but the temp. got down to 6F.
Could not stay home, but i did get stuck in the freeway traffic , nails on the road, cars with flat tires and a wreck further down the road........ what fun.
Snow flakes in Houston might have been the place to be.
 
We had a good deal of snow here in Edgewood and the Canyon was treacherous! (YOu may have seen the front page of the Journal the next morning with picture of the Semi that went off the road.

I was in the service with a guy from Hawaii and when it snowed
he went out and played in it just like a kid....cool
 
Snow in Alabama also.
 
Fri travel home from SanJose CA to Dallas VIA Houston arrived at airport at 7:00
for 9:15 to Houston cancelled..11:20 arrived at Houston next available flight to Dallas 7:20!
delayed to 8:30 sat in plane until 12:00 in line to de ice. Arrived at home 2:00 AM 19Hrs to get home I could have done a round trip to Paris from Dallas. I'm still exhausted and sore from sitting.
 
Had a text from opur daughter in Houston about it... siad the "natives" went crazy.... but a Scots gurl wasnae bothered... though I know for a fact she'd never driven in snow before....
 
we got it too and we don't know how to act around the stuff either.
They usually will shut the town down.
