Hot Feet?

For those of you with a TR4 who would like to direct air to your legs during the hot summer months, try the following suggestion.
Using eyeball air vents that one sees in aircraft (google Aircraft Spruce and Specialties for part number 13-01943) mounted on the bottom of the square air ducts that feed the vents on either side of the dash you can direct air to the footwell area. You'll need to use a hole saw and electric drill. When you open the scuttle vent air will flow to the dash vents and the foot well vents; the rate of flow to the footwell area is regulated by how open the dash vents are.

Cool.

(Pardon the pun - couldn't resist. Thanks you very much I'll be here all week. Make sure to tip your waiters well...)

IIRC, doesn't the TR250/6 have extra footwell "eyeball vents"?

I think my TR250 had them, but that was so long ago and I am probably imagining having them. I'll have to look in the parts books.

I don't know about the TR250 but the TR6 did have eyeball vents for the footwells. There is a split on each side and one hose goes to the vent on the dash - the other goes to a vent aimed back at your feet.

Yes, the TR 250 does have an eyeball vent in the footwell area. I wasn't aware of it when I first came up with the idea. I also believe the 250 and the 6 have a flex hose rather than the square steel duct that the 4 has.
