Well, DUH!!!

Looks like AeroQuipt

What's your <REAL> question, Don?

How hard is it to connect the hoses to make them seal well,...
Do I need special tools?

...yes....

Why are you using AN fittings, for bling? Waste of monies if you are using the fake ones, waste of monies if you are using the real ones. How you like them apples......

What he said... :jester:

What I really want is screw on fittings for fuel pump for higher pressure.
Don't really trust hose clamps

On the 6? How much pressure do you intend to have?

What am I missing... I thought it was way lower than that. :confuse:

ahhhhh.... OK, makes sense.

Banding tape, a cutoff wheel to get the hose to the right length, and some electrical tape to keep your wrench from galling the anodized finish on the fittings.
The smaller the hose the bigger of a pain it is to get on the fittings.

SMOOTH...

CLEAN.

Your hose ends need to be both.

We use Aeroquip aviation type fittings on high pressure hydraulic lines and they don't come apart with at least 2000 lbs pressure, some even higher pressures. Clear plastic braided hose will take around 200 lbs pressure, 40/50 lbs is nothing on an Aeroquip fitting or hose. PJ

I never tried it but I suspect a SawzAll with a fine tooth blade would cut it nicely (tape the circumference to keep the cut clean).

I had good luck using a high speed pneumatic cutoff tool with a thin disc. Band the hose, put it in a bench vise and take it easy cutting through. Almost always came out very clean.
NOTE: MAKE SURE TO CLEAN ANY DEBRIS OUT OF THE HOSE BEFORE ASSEMBLING IT! you don't want any of those rubber chunks in your oil system.
