Horrible sevice from Sprint

Long story short we're two years out of contract and called sprint to see about leaving. Next thing I know I'm being lead down a rabbbit hole by a carrot on a stick. Three weeks later after being promised free this and that for us to stay, lied to about this and that, then denied transfer to the proper department to report the lying problem only to have them admit they have a problem with lying by another team memeber on other call......I get nothing that was promised despite the fact I was lied too.....

"It wasn't in the notes so we can't do anything" is what I was told about what I was promised. When I call back and question this and ask for a copy of the notes, "Can't do that, proprietary infomation".

Sprint sucks! They have been "upgrading" their cell towers around here for almost a full year now. I used to have great service everywhere I went around town. Now I don't have any signal strength at my office which is only 2 miles away from a cell site. Upgrade my rear end! I do believe that the employees take classes on how to lie and what to include in the lie. You should have heard the crap I was told when calling to find out why a call would not stay connected for more than 10 seconds. I really need to get a different provider. :mad:
 
Won't help, Verizon is just as bad and all the others have lousy coverage. T-mobile treats me better (so far) although it helps to deal with an independent dealer rather than with the company directly; but there are lots of places where my phone won't work.

Reminds me of Lily Tomlin "We don't care. We don't have to care. We're the phone company."
 
Did they offer you the boost device for your office?

Yes, they gave me their "Airave" booster. It is as much garbage as their service. The device would not stay in sync for more than an couple of hours and the system could not locate the internal GPS needed for proper operation even though the antenna was attached to a window. When it was functioning I could be standing right next to the box and most of the time my phone would not be detected. I used to tell everyone how great Sprint was now I tell them to run away!
Randall you are right about the others being bad as well. I have talked to plenty of people who have the major carriers and they all have their problems. Right now I need one that has less than Sprint. I'm still with them since I haven't found any phone company that is clearly better.
 
I gave up Sprint and went to AT&T. So far it's the best service I've ever had. Very few dead spots and that's saying something for out here in Gods country. My son had Verizon and had to go 1/4 mile out his lane to the road to get service and then only got two bars. With AT&T I have service anywhere on his property. Needless to say, he switched to AT&T and now has cell service in his house also. PJ
 
When the building I worked in opened you could get every carrier inside, except for the corporate provider. They spent six months arguing back and forth over the need for a signal repeater so we could get and make calls from the provider we were required to use for business purposes.
 
Been with Sprint for years..had a Blackberry and got totally fed up..was going to change to another carrier but Sprint offered me the a "great " deal on a HTC EVO and since at the moment my son had one and was happy with it...I jumped..two year contract. Did it as when we come here to Fl. we have(had) great service and no roaming. We flew into orlando and since then CRAPPY service..as in none..unless I stand under a tower or on the end of pier on Lake Okeechobee. I finally called, got a tech and he said hang up and call me back on another phone????? Aahhh..only phone. So he put me on hold for about 10 minutes, came back and told me to hang up..shut the phone down, wait and then turn it back on. after that try to text anyone and he'd call me back in 10-20 mins. I did..and he did..and everything is fine.?? He said He zapped my phone and a tower?? DARN>>> Star Wars?? and he said I would not be charged roaming and the roaming msg would no longer pop up..which it hasn't. I don't thinkits worth changing( 2yr. contract) and no one is much better. And my son in Nm wrote and said his has been giving him fits....just can't win.
