My TR3 horns had been giving me a fit! Low tone worked great Hi tone didn't work. I had been using my Battery charger and some one suggested that was my problem. I hated to buy a new battery just to test stuff so I went to my independantly owned favorite Auto Supply and one of the guys gave me a 12 volt core battery. Charged up fine but didn't have enough poo to start a car. Still could not get the high tone to work. I kept adjusting the points but could not get the right combination. Finally got the low tone hooked up and it worked fine. Upon close inspection I discovered the problem. Points weren't closed enough. I cleaned them with fine sand paper closed them up and jumped out of my skin when it worked.

I now have working hi and lo tone horns, clean them up paint them and they are off the bench! Yea. Always feels good to get something accomplished.

Cheers, Tinkerman

And don't they sound cool! They have such a full, '50's essence to them....
