I am trying to hook up a stock Bugeye horn button. The brush I received seams to long. The catalog and part number indicate it is the proper part. Any one know how long it should be?

There are a couple of different length horn brushes. I cannot tell you which is right for your car. However, having one that is too long is better than too short. You can always cut the solid end (without solder ball) of the brush to make it shorter. A few minutes with a hacksaw and a flat file and you should have what you need.

Mine is 2-1/4 from what car I don't know..as long as the non sprung part is shorter than the shaft length your good to go.
