Hooking up my oil pressure gauge

I'm finally getting around to hooking up the oil pressure gauge that my car never had, and I need some help. I wasn't too crazy about running the nylon or copper pipes into my car, so I found a braided hose for original Minis that seemed like a good match.

Here's the problem: the hose has the same size fittings on each end, which does fit on the gauge but does not fit on the adapter screwed into the block. Does anyone know what size the adapter thread is so I can look for an adapter for the adapter? My other choice is to get the adapter that screws into the Mini block and fits the hose, and hope that the threads in the two blocks are the same.

I guess that's what I get for trying to get too fancy.

Thanks for your help.

Andy,

How about taking the adapter out of the block and your hose to a local hardware store to get mating parts to match. If none are near you try Lowe's or Home Depot. I'm sure you'll find a matching threaded adapter that will allow the hose to mate properly.

If no luck at either, try a Grainger or plumbing supply store.

Good luck,
