hood wont stay latched

So my hood won't stay latched while driving. The safety latch works fine and catches it (basically I drive with it only latched like this). However its becoming a little embarassing when people notice. I was using my overheating excuse up until recently, but I think I've nixed that problem in the butt.

What can I do to keep the hood latched? I'm thinking about putting a much stronger spring in the latch mechanism. Nothing really looks worn or abused. Thanks.

Adjust the center post out a bit further and see if that helps.
Incidentally, it's the bonnet latch. If it were the hood latch, the top would be loose. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif
