Hood scope chrome gap fix ...

For you nutty detail guys ... okay, yes, I held my hand up ... have you ever noticed that the chrome on the hood scope (6 cyl.) doesn't really fit all that well? Well, the fix is to 1/ have the chrome removed, 2/ braze on additional material, 3/ trim to fit (best to do while the hood still has paint so you get the right sizing), and 4/rechrome. Yes, I will be restoring the whole car so this is just one detail. Will anyone but you notice?? Maybe not, ... probably not ... but you're doing it for yourself anyway ... right?
