Evening All:

The body is finally home. Will have some pictures soon. It is an absoutly beautiful British Racing Green. However my questions concerns the Hood Catch Assembly. What color should it be? The Judging manual doesn't mention it and of all the pictures I have none show that portion of the hood. So I need your collective judgement.

Thanks a bunch, Tinkerman

Body color.

Thanks for the info, I guess its off to the paint store for a rattle can of BRG.

Thanks, Tinkerman

can't you take them to where your car was painted. I'm sure there is paint left of. I'm hope they even gave you the left over.

Yes, there is a dab left over(his words) so I will be picking it up. At a local auto store they can fill a rattle can with BRG for me, a little less than $10. I have several assemblies that will need some color so I'm going to get them all sorted out and get the rattle can and have at it. The stuff he has is a single stage paint, but apparently thicker than what is in an areosal can. I got rid of all my paint equipment years ago, used to have a touch up gun which would have worked fine. With the strange stuff they use in paints now I really don't want to mess with it.

Cheers, Tinkerman

Can fill a rattle can? Cool. Now you tell me!!!

Anybody have experience with them? How close is the color?

My only experience is with the rattle cans from Tower Paint in Oshkosh. In Signal Red & Triumph Racing Green (Conifer) the match was spot on.

Boy, I hope so, I ordered 2 from the above co.
