hello all, I know someone here can answer my question, this is my first midget and I am use to mgb's, can someone tell me if you can use the gas strut hood and trunk rods like i used on an mgb.thanks

this is a good question, as I would prefer to use something better on the Midget hood.

The Midget bonnet is pretty flimsy. I suspect it might pose a problem. I think Rick Ingram has researched this. You might check with him.

Brian Krause used em on his RX midget for the trunk. I would imagine that you would have to use two on the bonnet as well, one on each side to help keep it from flexing.

I, too, would like to give the trunk props. The trunk does a great job of holding the spare and tools and other stuff. Yay trunk!

Wait, what?

thanks guys, you gotta love this forum, don't know how much money i've saved learning from the experts.

No experts here. Just folks that have tried everything and done it all three times before getting it right.
