Re: Hondo - any painting up-date[s]

As a matter of fact I was going to start a new thread, but here is the up date,
the front fenders went back to bare metal again, used my new stud ease gun to pull a dent on the right front fender around the head lamp area, bondo, etched prime, then 2k primer, galzed the low spots, block sanded and ready for paint, I also sand blasted the insides, removed all the under coat and primed and actually painted both on the inside yesterday. Bonnet, sanded back to bare metal, used the stud ease gun on 2 small dent and pulled them out, a little filler, etched, then 2k primed, glazed the low spots and 2k primed again, block sanding today 1-3, hopefully it will be ready to paint, Doors, driver sided is ready for paint, passinger side, some how got a few waves in it when I took the paint back off but getting close to having it finished, boot lid is done but I was thinking of sand blasting the underside, prime and paint it, but too cold to run the sand blaster today, I know I have some areas on the top of the boot that has that duplicolor primer, I might either try the barcoat paint wayne suggested or just spray the base color on and where the paint alligators, let it dry and wet sand the areas with 320 grit, then etch bare metal, then 2k prime, wet sand the complete top of the bonnet and spray again and see how that works, Still have the rest of the car to deal with, I figure I might have it ready by the summer

Hondo, it doesn't get much better than what you have done so far, looks great, bet you will get a lot of work, if you want it.
