Hmmmm....

Well, ugly though it is, at least he didn't fdo anything that can't be reversed with a little bodywork!

a lot of body work

Maybe he was attempting to make a convertible shooting brake.
It reminds me of a tiger being done to seat 4.It was a coupe and the roof line reminded me of the Volvo sports coupe.
But i bet he gets a lot of interest when he's out driving it.

Yet another interesting conversion...

It's amazing the ideas people come up with, but some ideas come across better than others.

Somewhere down in Arizona there is apparently a 1982 Jaguar XJ6 convertible. I've never seen a picture of it but have always wondered what it looks like.

I've seen another strange one: a Jag 3.8 Mk II TWO-DOOR! It occasionally shows up at the Moss Britfest show here in NJ.
When you first see it, you sort of say to yourself "What's *wrong* here?".
It's a well-done conversion, but "Why?" is the real question.

The world is full of interesting and outrageous cars because most car guys never stop to ask 'Why?' 'Wouldn't it be cool if.....' is a very dangerous question!

I'm still thinking about turning an MGB into a mini-pickup....move the trunk bulkhead forward to right behind the seats along with the rear deck panel - floor the entire area behind it flush like a GT's hatch area.....think it would be a neat little parts hauler!

Moss Motors owns an MG TD like that (pickup conversion)

I remember years ago that Bill Harrah (I think) had a rear ended Ferrari 330 (again, I think) that was repaired by grafting on the rear of a Jeep Wagoneer to produce the Jerrari. There have been many Italian-American hybrids (including Micheal Andretti), but none like this! Would it be American Motors sportiness married to Ferrari reliability, or the other way 'round?

I know the Vicarage modifies their Jags, so I'm assuming the XK150 grill on the XK140 is for improved cooling!

Actually, I owned an XK150S OTS back in 3 BC (before children). A great grin machine, especially as most people thought it was an MG.

Eric;

Bill Harrah was my uncle and I clearly remember the Wagoneer. I think it had a complete running gear from a Ferrari stuffed underneath, I was about 13 or so when I took a trip to visit with the family and Bill took us out for a “ride” around the South Shore. I don’t think we were under 90 MPH for the entire trip and yes, Bill had CHP & State Troopers running traffic breaks for him too!

I also enjoyed meeting Bobbie Jentry (Bills wife), and Jim Neighbors. Being an aspiring singer it was great to have such folks to give advice and help too.

I believe I saw the Wageneer at the National Auto Museum in Reno last summer. Very cool museum 'cause they have some retro sets and streets to look period. Most of the cars were from Harrah's collection. Back in the '70s Harrah had over 2500 cars (restored and runable). Got overload and felt insignifacant in my MGB-GT on the way home.
