Hmmm.....not sure what to think!

Rough as an old cob, that. Looks like it was in a Texas hail storm then repainted that way to sell. Has an A/C unit...

Nice steerin' wheel, too.

I'm thinkin: "RUN!"

Well, the "waves" in the flag should hide any ripples in the body!

"Lil' Weak Moment" indeed...

Not wanting to start any flaming, but I thought it was against flag etiquette to do this (along with lots of other things otherwise patriotic people do with the flag).

"Warranty Available" Wish the MG's I've bought had one.

SHUDDER!!!

Both you AND that car, I'm guessin' /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

"Run away"

Well now, if Old Glory must be dislayed as an object
not a flag, I personally prefer the stars and stripes
covering the front portions and rear portions of the
patriotic bikini brigades.

As an architect, I find the flag car an eyesore of the
first magnitude. "Que Feo!!"

The time spent on the paint job should have been used to do the car right!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/eek.gif

"Hmmm.....not sure what to think!"

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/nopity.gif I'm sure!!! Not at all appealing to me to spend those kind of 'buy it now' $'s. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/nopity.gif

Who was it lookin' for a steering wheel treatment recently? I think we've seen it! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/devilgrin.gif

Maybe I'm a little slow, but why would someone paint the stars and stripes on a British made car? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif The Union Jack I could understand but Old Glory on an MG?

Probably the same reason someone puts the Union Jack on top of those "German" Minis. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smirk.gif

But what I’d like to know is what’s up with the steering wheel. Must be about five or six rolls of black electrical tape on that thing.

My thoughts exactly. Now I tend to like import cars very much, but painting an American flag all over one seems to send out a big statement. "Pride of America! built in (insert forign country here)"
My rule of thumb always was; if you're gonna paint a flag on a car, it should be the flag of whatever country built the car.
Nice job, whoever painted it. Questionable decision, whoever chose it.
You'd be taking your life in your hands driving that thing in certian parts of the country.

Heh, I think I would give a grand for it then let Tony part it out on shairs. LOL

It must obviously still have the Lucas electrics, and he carries the spare tape there for all the electrical repairs on the road!!!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Seems tp me Old Glory on a British car is odd....on a '48 GMC pickup? Now you're talking.
