A question for the USA members. I have an ex-USA TR3A and I wonder what, if any, history it is possible to trace based on a) the vehicle's commission number and/or b) the number I have on a California plate which was with the car when it arrived in the UK.
 
Unfortunately not much, unless it very recently left California. The state deliberately destroys the records after about 4 years (I think it is) of inactivity.
