Hello,
I removed my door. A number of things had to be repaired inside and outside the door. Since this car will be due for a paint job after I am done getting it road worthy, I figured now would be the best time to do this. The door was not opening or closing correctly. I found that the checkstrap was broken. I also found that the hinge pin was broken. I checked Victoria British and Moss; neither one carries the hinge pins. Does anyone have a source for these?
Also, does anyone have any advice about removing the pin besides buying a new hinge?
