This is an up date to ignition problem
58 sprite
Installed new flame Thrower coil.Still would not start. Started tracing low voltage path and then high votage path using 2 different test lights.
Everything is good. The last test was high voltage at both ends of the coil. The leak happens when some where inside the distributor cap.
the problem is the all this is kind of new. As I did an ignition up grade about 2 years ago and less then 2 thousand miles. New Flame thrower electronic distributor and new wires.
NOt sure if the rotor making good contact with the lead from the coil.
I guess the only thing to do is replace both cap and rotor.
This problem came on very quickly. Form perfect to dead in 30 seconds
Any other thoughts
Thanks

Check with Jeff Schlemmer at Advanced Distributor for GOOD rotors as opposed to the questionable stuff avail everywhere else.

Not just his "RED" rotors, but get one of his BRASS caps too.
