High Beams

Well first off I just want to say thanks to everyone. When ever I have a problem someone is there to help.
My problem now is that when I turn my high beams on my lights shut right off. The high beam indicator comes on the dash but no high beams.
Just last time I had my car out the high beams worked fine.

Check the wiring bullet connectors behind the grill they can get corroded and in effect become an 'open' as opposed to a 'short'. The light switch seems to be working fine as it sends the voltage to the indicator light parallel to the head lights. Those connectors are out front in rain etc. and over time can get corroded. The power feed goes to the RH light first then through a cross harness to the LH light. Get a small round wire brush and clean out the female connectors [ the ones with the rubber sleeve over them ] apply some lithium grease to the male bullet connectors and reinstall.

Regards, Bob
