Hi Bruce - I am just about to finish up the conversion on my '66. I found the following link quite helpful:

With a 1275, you may be able to get away with modifying a Metro manifold, but I can tell you from experience that the Mini version of the Mini Spares manifold will NOT clear the bonnet. I wound up buying the Spridget version of the Titan manifold from APT.

I have that set up. Had the same problem with the Minispares manifold. Mine was the Mini version rather than the Sprite version. I had a machine shop modify it ten degrees and the problem was solved. Minispares makes one correct for a Sprite that doesn't need modification.

Very good 1275 modification, and good points. As noted, APT offers the correct manifold, IM128:

And I would highly suggest the Metro heat shield, CP-00:

Click the "SU Carb" area of the Menu, and then see the "Parts, Needles and Cables" section. A Phenolic Spacer is also a good idea. Same section, further down.
These items are often out of stock, so patience may be required. There are also some UK vendors with the correct manifold, but you will have to do some searching about.

I used a Mini manifold, as clearance was not an issue with my installation. (I installed an airscoop for forced air induction, which obviously rendered the clearance issue moot.)
