I recently joined the British Car Forum on acquiring a left hooker1965 BJ8 Mk III phase 2 - HBJ8L27889. Whist it is essentially solid it requires extensive restoration which I am currently embarking on. My son made some enquiries with Steve regarding the history of the car.If anyone has any information (details can be found on the register) i would be very interested.
I intend to completely strip the car to a rolling chassis, removing wings and front and rear shrouds, having the car shot blasted and primed then refitting all panels and carrying out the minor welding to the inner sills and battery box area. carry out a complete paint (colour to be decided) and start the rebuild.
I have just completed a complete build of a 1946 MGTC to what I think is a very high standard, this car is now for sale.
I also own a nice 1972 Lotus Elan Sprint which is great drivers car
regards
to all
