Good day.

I am new to owning a MGB, but have wanted one since 1986 so it is a dream come true.

I bought a complete basket case complete with 2 truck beds full of mis-matching parts ranging from 1970 to 1978 (the hood has a bullet whole in it LOL). I bought a complete tub that the rust has already been dealt with, but there is still some welds that needs to cleaned up.

My plan is to repaint the whole thing, inside and out a nice yellow. I just bought a GM 2.8L V6 to swap out the original 1800 to give it more power and match it with a Camaro T5 5 speed. I have read a lot of different forums regarding this conversion and as much as it seems fairly easy, the information seems to contradict each other. My 2.8L came out of a S-10 and has a 4L60 auto in it which I do not want.

sounds like a great project! welcome and we would love to see pictures
