I have been reading here for some time and thought it was time to register. Even though there are good forums in Europe, I have already found some valuable information here and hope to be able to contribute a thing or two.
I own a 1970 TR6 which is practically a family member. I've bought it back in 1992, before that it ran in Los Angeles. I bought it as naively as you can in youth (it was a typical dazzler, of course). But now it's an absolutely reliable, long-distance car, with a number of modifications - so not for the originality fanatic. Increased power, long diff., OD retrofitted, heated MX5 seats to name a few.

Looking forward to the exchange with you folks and of course to the next ride in sunshine.

Cheers

Welcome to the British Car Forum Achim. And…. No front bumper
Your car looks great.

Great looking TR! How'd you first get interested in Triumph cars?

(Is that a Flag of Scotland on the windscreen?)

Welcome to BCF!

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome.

Yes, it's a Scottish flag. Such a beautiful country that I would love to discover with the TR (so far only by rental car).

I bought the car when I got my first company car in teh age of 26 and sold my daily driver (a BMW 318i E30 at the time).
I've always wanted a convertible, so I thought it might as well be something old if it's a hobby car. I first thought of an MG B but the straight-6 in the TR6 finally tipped the scales

Cheers
Achim
