Hello to all!
My name is Eric ans as mentioned above, I’m from Bretagne in France. I’m a biker since about 30 years, I only had Harley Davidson, a few of them … We, my spouse and I, ride a lot, cross countries, we do, since I stopped working from 15K to 20k (kms) a year!
Lately, I started to think that one day, heavy motorcycle will become very difficult for us and I started dreaming about
the next toy… I think we still have about 5 years before reducing drastically the Harley’s adventure but nevertheless I started looking at MG roadsters… I lived about 9 years all together in the UK, Bradford, Southampton, Birmingham … And was always impressed by the little MGs I saw on the British roads, for me the one to own and drive was the B… I had never heard about the MGC… I love big engine (My current Street Glide is a 2cyl 2L engine…) so the 6 cylinders, 3L obviously spoke to me!
I started looking around, and I saw one… Obviously way to early to purchase but… 90 mn drive away from home, a MGC Roadster 1969, primerose yellow, US specs, in very good condition for sale was too good of an opportunity to let it pass! A very attractive price as it’s an automatic gear box… A pretty rare car, 1 of 453 built in 1969, rare but not sought after because it’s an automatic! Everyone think what they want but personally, I really love it! I didn’t know I would take so much pleasure at driving it with a similar feeling as riding a motorcycle! The automatic gear box, of course will “eat” some power but I’m not in the racing game, i just want to cruise, in peace, in my beautiful little roadster!
That’s for my introduction!
