Hey you 948 guys

Thought this worth mentioning, Mini Mania has few brand new
948-998 cylinder heads for sale for like $126, which I thought was dirt cheap, they are bare, no springs and valves, but that does sound like a good deal for a brand new head, thats cheaper than trying to restore a head, once you fiquire all the thhngs you need to do on a old head( pressure check, seats, valve job, guides, decking), it would be cheaper to buy one of these new heads.

According to my book this is a stock Bugeye head. It is not the later go fast head, sigh.

However, one heck of a price.

Before you pay even that much for a standard 948 head, I have one (2A629) which still has its original spare-part paint which you can have for the shipping costs alone (which will be significant bearing in mind how much a cast-iron cylinder head weighs - 24lbs in this case). It hasn't even got valve guides in it and the paint is still in the spark-plug threads.
