Where's Dr. Bill hiding out??

He's not posted in quite some time.

Dr. Bill cracked a tooth. I think he is in therapy, trying to get over his dentist phobia so he can get it fixed.

I think he has a bad case of starter-itis.He's been grousing about the screw up on his starter purchase and he's trying to get his motor and trans back in after the floor work. I think he might be a little jealous of you Dale and is too upset to post.

He seemed to be rather upset at your most recent
successes with 'Ole Crypty. I think he must be pulling
out all the stops in order to get his car on the
road.

Probably cancelled all his patients (assuming he has
any, could be retired) and is wrenching away. Poor guy,
he took it kinda hard; kinda hard.

Oh well, lets just pray that's all it is.

See ya,

I have been out of pocket. That is, under the darn car all day Sunday (5:00 am till 6:00 pm) trying to get the starter and other things re-installed. My new starter finally went in after clocking it to fit. NO room to spare. I got it installed (had to snake it in backwards, rotate and flip it) only to find out that the battery post on the starter had a burr on it and the nut wouldn't screw on. Mind you, the only place for the starter to go in without interference was with the battery post adjacent to the oil pan. Had to take it out and fix that. Took me 5 HOURS to get that done. (Who was it that said it would only take 20 minutes to slide in a tranny???) Spent the rest of the afternoon Sunday hooking up all the other stuff that I had to unhook to jerk the engine.

Ticked? No.
Envious? Yes.

That's ok. The wife and I spent the night in New Orleans and went to my son's parents' day at LSUMed. Snuck out to Harrah's around midnight Saturday and won a $16K jackpot on the slots. Match that one, Tinster!!!!

All in good humor.

Should have stayed with OEM equipment...but then you get to do it more frequently...

Bill,

With that kind of luck you should have stopped and got a lottery ticket!.. I'll be headed to Cocodrie in April...

the jackpot will help with the LBC. It's like the rancher that won the lottery. When asked what he was going to do with the money, he said "I'm just going to keep raising cows till it's gone."

Congratulations Bill!! Glad to hear that someone I know actually won something at a casino.

I always wondered where they got the pictures of the winners that they put in the lobbies and entrances. I really thought that they may have come from Roswell in the late 40's, down to Vegas, because no one has seen any of them since.

Wow! That should make the Triumph a "break even" proposition!

Paul, the mere suggestion of another photo of Bill scares the beejeezus outta me. My cat is STILL in therapy over th' LAST one he posted.

Don't encourage 'im. mmmm'k?!?. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/jester.gif

Not - even - close.

More like covers the sales tax part of the equation......

Wow, $16k jackpot. Now you can afford to get your tooth fixed without dipping into your car fund.
