Talking about having money to burn! I have my new cars serviced at the dealer also, but this is a little over the top. Just because you have tons of money, doesn't mean your not a screwball!

That's odd, I always thought they just flew in the factory mechanics!!

Geez would it not have been better to fly the oil BACK to the mideast along with a crew a lambo techs? Nutz!

This must be the smartest.....

People, can we keep the profiling in check? Please?

Thanks,
Mickey

He said: “It would have been far more efficient to fly mechanics out there.”

Wonder why he didn't.

Maybe they didn't want to pay them hazardous duty pay.

Isn't the lambo motor just another lump of cast iron/ali?, castrol oil, or the "special oil" as specified so as to not null and void the warranty?, or is the prerequisite be that you can cuss in a EU dialect when ya does ya knuckles in?

You got it.Sorry Mickey. My PC filter was disabled the day I was born.

What the article also didn't point out is that he's a major partial owner of Qatar, the airlines that moved the car....so, even though he might've paid the price, he got it back in dividends.

I don't see a problem with it! If you've got the money, use it as you see fit.....if you're a cargo handler at Heathrow or a member of Planet Stupid (or anybody else who's jealous of his ability to do so) - tough! Nobody really cares what they think about the environmental impact of the car of how he spends his money!

Just my opinion...

There is no - or at least very little environmental impact. The aircraft was going there anyway. It's like claiming sending a letter air-mail is worse for the environment than sending it by ground; they're not going to dispatch a 747 for your single letter, it just gets tossed in with everything else on an airplane that's already going to be flying.

Duh.

You make me feel so insignificant. :cryin:

Of course, if 50m people read the article from a Google search...

So THAT's why his "baggage" didn't get lost....

Still I suppose someone in the loading dock could have dropped it and caved in a corner... or maybe knocked one of the little wheels so it wouldn't track straight and squeaked. Seems to happen to all my checked baggage....

Ah, the "super soar away" Sun. It's been a while since I last saw Page 3.

greg,i realy shouldnt get started on wasted fuel and the environment, i once flew a single pass. from newark a.p. to saudi arabia thats not unusual in corp. aviation, thing is he was dead! casket wouldnt fit it the planes door just strapped him down to a lounge, talk about non-revenue.

That's just creepy Anthony. I hope your passenger hadn't passed in a plane crash, that would've been too much for me.
